It looks as though the owner has made a good job of creating what he wanted it to look/be like, but its not for me
I dont dislike it,i just wouldnt buy it.
Rip the spats,roofrack/rollbar, jerry cans and spare off the front....
stick some 900 michelins on it and i would sell a kidney. |

Like the twin headlights, seen it done a few times, canvas looks tidy, not too keen on the rest of it though. _________________ Phil Gregson; the 5th Emergency Service et La Gayer de tout Les Gayeurs.

Not my cup of tea. What engine has it got?
I was talking to a friend a while ago about 101s. 'Yeah', he says, 'I'd like one - put a Tdi in it and some coiler axles with lockers, blah blah'. What's the point?? Just buy a old Unimog. _________________ Dents are like scratches with a better story |

Or buy a V8 101 and put a locker in the rear.
I'm sure Chris will confirm for us that it's a more than satisfactory setup for off the roading. _________________ The Ancient Greeks had a name for it, they called it Pandoras Box, however what they mean to say was 'Baldricks Trousers'. |

Seems to work, you can fit a macnamara in the front too though. _________________ Phil Gregson; the 5th Emergency Service et La Gayer de tout Les Gayeurs.

I've never been in this part of the forum before.
I met this guy at a show once (coming from Northern Ireland and all that, it's hardly surprising!!)
I couldn't believe it when I saw it, it was absolutely grotesque!!!!]
I decided to go and find out his story, as he was sat with another bloke with his bush hat full of pin badges and his thermos out, and looked a bit bored.
Alongside side this monstrosity was a lovely, standard green 101 on military rims and tyres with army-surplus-bought camo net over the top, it was a bit of a contradiction in terms seeing the two side by side.
It turns out the bush-hatted man owns both. He was a strange chap, but when he understood I knew what I was talking about, was pleasant enough to talk to for 5 minutes. This contraption has cream leather interior and more chequerplate that QT's fabrication department - it is gayer than homosexual transvestite!
He uses it as a people carrier for his business, and the normall one is his toy.
He said he had a Series 1, along with a vast collection of 1950s/60s cars.
It's a horrible horrible destruction of a poor helpless 101! But he lives near my parents, if anyone wants a post code to give him a lesson in suitable leafer practices it could be arranged. |

Its hideous in my opinion!
As for cooling, the intercept trucks had their spares mounted in exactly the same place and cooling was never a problem. _________________ John

I have to admit to liking the twin headlights, and I like the idea of a roof rack you can live on, it just doesn't seem right to me, something about it just doesn't fit together properly, the matching painted spades really are uncalled for _________________ Current vehicles:

Looks like playmobil made it, it was made for war, I doubt you could even get sailors to drive around in it let alone squadies. Most military vehicles should be left dressed in their comats. _________________ Feel free to point and stare |
